Judging begins at 9am with EXCELLENT, followed by ADVANCED, followed by NOVICE

Fee: pre-entry $7 ($5 for additional entries, same dog) Total entries limited to 30

If your dog loves to run and pull, you should try
MUSHING
MUSHING IS THE TERM FOR ANY KIND OF DOG SPORT THAT INVOLVES YOUR DOG PULLING.
It could be A SLED, CART, BICYCLE, SKATES, SKIS, OR ...
IT’S A GREAT WAY TO EXERCISE YOU AND YOUR DOG!
HARNESS YOUR DOG’S ENERGY…
And REIN IN THAT NEED TO HAUL YOU AROUND THE BLOCK!!

Topics we will cover include:

What mushing sports are available
Teaching your dog the basic signals
How to get your dog used to pulling something behind them
How to keep it fun for you and your dog
How to find the right equipment for the sport of your choice
Where to MUSH locally
And the ever-popular MORE!!!

This one-day workshop covers the basics of how to get started

Limited to SIX working teams
This is not a sport for small dogs. Dogs must be no less than 35 pounds. Dogs need to be comfortable around other dogs, reasonably fit, and have no unusual physical limitations.
