Maybe you’ve thought about volunteering at a library, nursing home, or hospital with your dog but you don’t know how to get started.
Perhaps you are already visiting with your dog but would like to do more.

This class will bust some myths about animal assisted therapy -
Show you how to get started as a volunteer team -
And expand your existing skills for different settings.
It’s a WIN-WIN training opportunity…
AND your chance to have a dog that gives his heart and soul to those in need.

Can My Dog Track?

Join us for this one-day workshop covering the basics of

AKC tracking and how to get started

We Will Cover:

History of tracking and reasons to Track
How to walk a straight line
How to lay a track
Keeping a log
Titles you and your dog can earn together
Equipment and time requirements
Motivation: Retriever or Non-retriever

PLUS

You will get to work your dog in the field!

We will be laying tracks for each of the dogs
working one-to-one with you - giving you the experience of knowing what it’s like to trust your dog’s nose to follow the trail of a specific person or object. Tracking allows your dog to use their natural abilities and is a wonderful way to
enjoy time outside with your best friend.

Have loads of fun this summer with your best friend –

Join the Wag-n-Train!

Each week we’ll:

Teach a new TRICK
Play a new GAME
Learn about popular DOG SPORTS

Along with the real life skills of:

How to properly handle a dog
How to greet (or not) a strange dog
And general dog safety.

Kids will learn how to train their dogs while building
a long-lasting relationship with their best friend…

It’s like summer camp for kids and dogs!

Friday, Jul 9th, 3:30 pm

What makes this unique is that our teaching staff consists not only of
skilled dog trainers BUT people who are also certified school teachers!

Fee: $120

Classes are one hour, sessions are 6 weeks.
Make-up classes are allowed for ease in scheduling.
Open to all kids 9-14 years old and dogs that are not aggressive.
This is a totally positive training environment…NO prong or choke collars allowed.
