Julie Dorsey
Director of Training
Rally
Feisty Fido
Ring Ready Obedience

In 1999 Julie Dorsey-Oskerka started out with her first dog, Keri, by taking both agility and obedience classes and quickly fell in love with dog training. Since then, she has trained, titled, and competed at the highest levels and thoroughly enjoys it. She now teaches other people to love training their dogs as much as she does.
Her teaching style is all about having a good time with your dog and getting your dog to be eager to learn. This is accomplished by using humane and positive methods, which reward the dog for performing a certain behavior instead of correcting them for doing it wrong. This way the dog learns much easier and the bond that is created between the dog and handler is strengthened.
She is very involved in animal behavior and continually studies, and attends workshops and seminars to learn more about how our dogs think, and feel, and how to best teach them. She is the Director of Training at Wiggles-n-Wags Dog Training, Inc., and founded the Feisty Fido program for Walking the Reactive Dog. She also is the lead trainer for the Obedience program, including the FOCUS classes and behavioral classes.

Brain Games Host
Feisty Fido Assistant

When Roxanne was 12 years old she trained the family dachshund using an obedience training book from the neighborhood library. She had to keep renewing the book until she and the dog completed all of the Novice Obedience exercises. She got her real start in competitive obedience in 1982 with a Shetland Sheepdog, earning a CD and a CDX in six consecutive trials.
Since those long ago days, Roxanne’s experience and understanding of how dogs learn has grown substantially. Roxanne’s educational focus was on the human-animal bond and humane education.
She is certified through the Certification Council of Professional Dog Trainers and is an evaluator for the American Kennel Club’s Canine Good Citizen program (CGC).
Her eight years of experience as a foster home for rescue dogs showed that many relinquishments can be avoided with appropriate training and behavior counseling. For five years Roxanne taught dog training to youth through a local 4-H program. She has taught basic obedience since 2001 and Rally obedience since 2006.
For Roxanne, it’s all about the journey. She finds the process of teaching and learning far more engaging than the act of competing. On this learning quest Roxanne and her dogs have explored the worlds of agility, obedience, rally, sheep herding, sled pulling and tracking. Roxanne’s most significant mission, however, has been her fifteen years of experience in animal assisted therapy (AAT) partnering with four different dogs and a cat.
Roxanne and her animal partners have worked in diverse settings including rehabilitation units, correctional facilities, classrooms and residential facilities. In addition to her practical experience Roxanne has attended conferences and workshops on the human-animal bond sponsored by University of Michigan, Tufts and Censhare, and visited therapeutic sites such as Green Chimneys in New York. She has presented courses on AAT to volunteers and professionals including the Illinois School Social workers. In addition to their regular therapy programs Roxanne and her canine partner Onchu are members of a crisis response unit.

After 12 years of teaching High School English, Rebecca took time off to stay home, raise her daughter, and teach part-time at the University level. This flexibility has allowed her to teach a variety of group dog training classes, and volunteer for a number of different Border Collie rescue groups.
After initially beginning her dog training career in 2005 by becoming a trainer at Narnia Pet Behavior and Training, in Plainfield, she is now also on staff at Wiggles-n-Wags Dog Training, Inc. At Wiggles-n-Wags, she teaches the specialty classes such as K9Noseworks, and many of the manners and focus classes as well. She regularly holds classes and workshops on clicker training and shaping skills, while having fun and building your relationship with your dog. We consider her our master tricks expert and she is a Certified Trick Dog Instructor (CTDI) through the Do More with Your Dog program
Rebecca has been instrumental in structuring our obedience program, and is a presenter for Dog Gone Safe which is a dog-bite prevention program that helps educate kids about dogs.
She regularly attends workshops and seminars all over the country in behavior modification. Her love for animals and her compassion make her an outstanding trainer. We are proud to have her expertise in teaching as one of our staff members at Wiggles-n-Wags.
Pat Rattray
Private Behavioral Trainer
Pat has a certification from Purdue University in the Principles and Techniques of Dog Behavior Modification. She has been involved in dog training since 1991. Pat took an interest in training when she got her first dog and was disenchanted with the number of aversive trainers in the Chicagoland area. She then became associated with Narnia Pet Behavior and Training in Naperville, where she learned more positive reward based techniques. She was on staff at Narnia for over 7 years. She then took the DOGS course at Purdue University with Dr. Andrew Luescher (a board certified veterinary behaviorist) where she learned the principles of behavior modification, and received her certification.
She began working for the Chicagoland Veterinary Behavior Consultants in 2002 with Dr. John Ciribassi, where she is currently employed. Her duties with CVBC include handling most of the behavior modification training with the owners and their pets.
Pat is also involved in a Boxer Rescue Group called Bailed Out Boxers. She is part of Wiggles-n-Wags Dog Training, Inc. as an advisor, lecturer, and supporter of the positive methods that are employed in all of our training whether it’s a puppy class, obedience, or even agility. She works one-on-one with clients in their homes, addressing the immediate needs of the family environment.
Pat currently takes workshops and classes at Wiggles-n-Wags with her boxer, Noah, because she says it is a positive training environment that supports her methods and philosophy. She says she enjoys the classes with Noah because they are unique from other area classes. She also says that, “As a trainer, it is hard to find challenging classes to take your own dog to, but at Wiggles-n-Wags the creativity is very impressive. The needs of the individual client are taken seriously by the trainers. You get extra help and have fun at the same time.”
Diane Everson
Rally Instructor
Party Maven

Diane was a public school teacher for 34 years, teaching and coaching junior high students. Using these skills of communicating, she is now working with students of the four-legged variety.
Diane does extensive volunteer work with Therapy Dogs International along with her sweet Aussie Jane. They visit rehab centers, work with special needs children at one of the local elementary schools and have instituted the Read to the Dog program at several of the local libraries.
Diane coaches people on how to have fun with their dogs by training in rally obedience. She says, “Having a dog and training that dog should be one of the happiest times you can have. Each and every skill or trick we teach them should be done with love and respect. We expect them to give us 100% of their focus while we are working, and we should do the same for them. They look to us for leadership. That leadership should never betray them through harsh or negative treatment. Through training with positive reinforcement, you will gain a loyal companion for a lifetime. I strongly feel teaching obedience and rally obedience in this manner will show your true personality and produce the best in both of you!”
She shares her life with her 9 year old Australian Shepherd (Aussie Jane) and her 4 year old Border Collie/Great Pyrenees (Winston Churchill).Aussie Jane – CGC, TDIAOV, RL1X2, RL2X2, RL3, ARCHX, RLV, URO1, CW-SR, CW-AR, CW-ZR1, CW-OB1

Her field of interest is working with shy, fearful, and reactive dogs. As a volunteer for ARF (Animal Rescue Foundation) she is able to help these rescues to become happy and confident dogs that are ready to be placed in their forever homes.
When asked why she likes teaching obedience and family dog classes at
Wiggles-n-Wags, her answer is simply:
My satisfaction comes from watching the relationship between the dogs and their owners strengthen as they have fun learning new things. I love when they realize just how much they can accomplish using positive training techniques!Liz works in the corporate world during the day, and enjoys training her own dogs.

Sue Murphy
CGC Evaluator
Training Assistant
Certified in Canine Massage

Sue discovered early in life a true appreciation and love for dogs that led her to turn a passion into her chosen profession. The different personalities of the dogs she has raised and trained, opened up a new curiosity into dog behavior and health, which led her to the internship program for dog training at Wiggles-n-Wags.
One of the wonderful dogs that blessed Sue’s life, and helped her find her path to us, was Gracie. As Gracie reached her golden years, she was challenged with arthritis. Sue wanted to bring Grace as much comfort as possible. Complementing traditional medicine, holistic medicine offered a variety of approaches: acupuncture, acupressure, massage and nutrition. Massage was very effective. After Gracie passed on, Sue wanted to help other dogs benefit from massage the same way that Gracie did. So she became certified in canine massage, therapeutic and sports massage, at The Rocky Mountain School for Animal Acupressure and Massage. She also studied nutrition and the use of essential oils with animal massage.
Sue says, “I enjoy teaching people how to build a relationship with their dogs through communication and positive reinforcement so their dog learns how to make good choices. Foundational skills can then be applied to many other activities both human and dog can enjoy together. And most importantly, a relationship grows when it is built on respect and love.”
Sue lives in Naperville with her husband Murph, and their two yellow Labs, Louise and Betty.
She is a member of:
- Association for Pet Dog Trainers (APDT)
- Pet Sitters International
- International Association for Animal Massage & Bodywork
- AKC Canine Good Citizen Evaluator
